iPad 2 - is it upgradable?

    Have an old ipad2 sitting in the press..replaced it with a nexus9 last year.
    Is it possible to upgrade ipad 2 to latest ios for latest apps? (I think reason I retired her was I couldn't upgrade?)
    BTW...months sitting it drawer n battery still @ 50%...mad

    Yes, you can upgrade to iOS 9, but you won't be able to upgrade to iOS 10 when it comes out in September.
