    Linux in Galway?

      Is there either classroom or tuition in Galway for learning Linux, particularly Redhat Enterprise?
      I am watching youtube videos and experimenting on a AWS instance I created.
      It's kinda slow to get off the ground though.

      When I started learning Linux it was in Galway around 2001. I only had dial up at home and to download things like kernels and dependencies I had to get the bus into the city(40 mins) to use an internet cafe and download them. It has never been easier to learn Linux on your own.

      If you want to do the RHCSA course, first set up a RHEL-compatible distribution, e.g. Fedora or Centos. Then download the material and start going through it.

      Ask any questions you have, over in the Linux/Unix forum.

      Voluntary hackerspace/maker group. I think they from time to time run linux for noobs kinda courses. (they used to anyhow. Have heard of their activity in recent times).

      Thanks, yeah I've kept an eye on 091 since I met a couple of them when out. Nice lads.
      Atm they seem to focus on Maker spaces and hardware.

      There was/is? a Galway Linux Users' Group I'll see if I can reach them and maybe get some training for the price of a few pints :)

      This service for $29 dollars a month sounds excellent, but pricey, takes you way beyond the basics including redhat stuff, haven't tried it but if I had the 30 dollars a month to spare I probably would subscribe (first month only 9$ with a cancel any time policy - inexpensive trial) https://linuxacademy.com/

      There are more, I'm sure, they're the ones that spring to mind for me though
