Was a poor game. Desperate conditions never got as wet at a match before.two teams that were afraid to make a mistake. Both set up defensively and I didn't expect anything else.

I'm getting very disillusioned with football for this reason. Teams goin out with a mindset of not losing badly instead of goin our to try and win.

Hate him or love him, it's not a nice way to finish any important game.
It was an accident, but it hurts like hell (have that t-shirt)

Just heard there an elderly retired farming couple we know were robbed today. They had been in town in a supermarket and withdrew money from atm. They were followed home and when they went in their automatic gates they were robbed, car had time enough to get out gates before they closed again, feckers

Awfully upsetting and frightening thing to happen.
Bad luck to the rotten feckers who robbed them.

Was visiting an elderly aunt (Mary) last night that had her sister (Anne) staying with her for few days. They were telling me of their experience during the week.
Mary was expecting (Tom), a nephew of her husband's to call one of the days and he was going to stay overnight. On the relevant day, Mary was putting clean sheets on the bed for this nephew when there was a knock at the door.
'That must be Tom' Mary shouts to her sister 'open the door and let him in. And be sure and welcome him'
Anne who had never met this lad before opens the door and throws her arms around him and gives him a kiss on the cheek and says 'come on in, it great to meet you. Mary is down in the room getting your bed ready'

The poor chap that had get into the house to read the ESB meter must of wondered what type of house he had arrived at

Has anyone an old crawler machine lying around, looking for something a bit different to restore for a change. Have done a few tractors but haven't gone near anything with tracks.

Saw this on dung deal today maybe it might suit ya but I reckon it might be on the dear side

Lads, our plot of turf was only cut last month. Some of it is terrible wet, falls apart in your hand and a lot of it is under water with the rain. What's the going rate for an equivalent amount of turf bought from some lad? It's going to be a write off this year, we had it dragged out with the Discovery this time last year.

Hold on there. Calm yourself down. Lad beside me here cut turf last week. Thursday in fact.
Plenty of time to rear turf yet. You're turf will be got, you won't know it after a few dry days.
