Well the Ronnie stuff has certainly killed French momentum.

Jesus there is some delicate pansies in this thread all sad for Ronaldo. The egotistical **** bag is still that despite an injury. Why would you feel sorry him.

Payet could be on the end of a lot of hits tonight.

    sure it was definitely "circumstantial"

    I mean c'mon

But it wasn't deliberate. From reading some comments here you would have thought that Payet had grown a needle moustache and had tied Ronaldo to a train track laughing manically!

Payet got the ball. Ronaldo was just unlucky and tbh he may have been carrying a knock already.

Knew it was a bad one the second i seen it. Jarred his left knee, ligament damage without a doubt.

Irritating how Hamilton and Beglin didn't pick up on this at all.

It really does show up some of the worst human attributes, and most of the same people will be cheering on as a hero a multi-millionaire who can't pay a few measlly taxes.

Turn it into messi v ronaldo as usual.
I think there is something wrong with you.
Your hate for messi is crazy

Disagree, when you play with some world class players. You will no doubt look better.
And when you play with a team that gets regulated, rarely does anyone look excellent

You can still look like you're trying whether the players around you are world class or relegation class.

Only on boards.ie would you have people complaining about the fashion that an injured player leaves the field, such is the bitterness. Pathetic really.

Hate to say it but I count the majority are fans of a certain club
    Typical
And the same lads defend Messi no matter what just to be awkward

I reckon George and Jim still reckon Ronaldo was faking it!

I don't dislike Messi that much. Moreso the club he plays for. And yeah, I'm the one displaying the most hate in here, definitely me. Solid assessment of events.

Here's how Ronaldo will return for the second half.

In fairness, it would be like expecting Inspector Clouseau to solve a case.

anyone happy to see a player go off injuried really need to look at themselves
    cannot agree more with this..

its just not the same game anymore.. did not se it coming but now when I think of it it could be expected.. as a tactic.. to destroy the biggest threat by fouling him badly. wouldn't be the first time in history :'o

Tell you something for nothing - Dunphy will eviscerate Ronaldo at half-time. Bottler, coward, gutless, he'll throw the lot at him.

Plenty of **** bags around here tonight it seems. Ronaldo isn't one of them.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't an intentional hit from Payet

He didn't mean to put him out of the game, he's probably happy enough about it though as you would be

Ronaldo wanting him to bite and make a fool out of him.
Payet did what you should do if you go for it.
Dont have the ball, make sure he feels it so he wont do it again.

Ronaldo just unlucky his knee did bend in a direction it is not supposed to bend.

I think he'll do the opposite to be honest. Sounds like you haven't heard Dunphy talk about Ronaldo since he joined Madrid.

Or that you can't give an opinion without it being considered bitter.
