Murphy loves to play the hard man. I'm beginning to detest him

In fairness Murphy was right. While I do not like him the Ronaldo bashing by the commentators grates me

Nothing wrong with him, just a ploy to appear heroic for his country.

He's taking the act a bit far, isn't he?

Beglin: "I've seen Sissoko do that for Newcastle."

    Lies.

Going off again? Don't worry, he'll be back to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase just as France are lifting the trophy.

I agree. I can't stand Ronaldo and he's probably the main reason I want France to win, but I want to see the best players on the pitch and I don't like seeing any player being carried off.

Will he jump back up off the stretcher and come on as a sub?

Very sad. You want the best players in the big games.

He's definitely gone now. Shame for the final that one of the best players in the world is gone no matter what you think about him personally.

France decided to win it in nasty fashion.

Poor Ronaldo hope his teammates can win it for him now

Portugal will roll up the drawbridge now. Brace yourself for a tedious final.

    Such a shame.

Really hurts any chance Portugal had, which was slim to begin with.

G'way George you big fool. Ronaldo will definitely be at the World Cup in 2018. He'll only be 33.

    Shame.

Ah here, is the stretcher not a bit much? He was able to walk off the pitch (for treatment) without a limp, 5 minutes ago.

Seriously am I the only one that could see payet clatter into ronaldo knee/thigh with his right leg. Accidental but it's the reason he's off

I was hoping France to win, but wouldn't mind a Ronny-less Portugal to take a shock win now!

Hope they crash now big time. I really do.

That's not true, decent tackle but there was contact which can happen as football is still a contact sport.

There was nothing nasty about that challenge

I just assumed he was diving - because of his diving in every match I've ever seen him play before - but it looks like he's actually injured this time.

    Lol
You really are an embarrassment at this stage.

A 5 year old has more cop on than you.

Just put on a bet that Ronaldo will be substituted back on in the second half, Peter Canavan style.

Well that's a real loss for the final. I didn't really care who won this final but I am firmly on Team Portugal right now. Come on the underdog!

Not Ronaldo's biggest fan (not to say he's not a magnificent player) but you'd have to feel for the guy.

Those of you relishing him leaving the field like he did....well, you're c*nts.

    Lol

Never funny seeing someone doing nothing wrong getting injured.

Payet went in purposefully hard tbh, as in more aggressively than was needed to just win the ball

And he came back and tried running on it twice. It's precaution. It's the professional thing to do when your legs are worth that much I'm sure you'd want them taken care of too.
