    About to buy in Galway city. Appreciate recommendation for surveyor and expected cost.

    Can anyone explain the difference between different survey options, e.g. I've heard of pre-purchase survey and structural survey being different? What I'd like is a list of things like "minor leak from upstairs ensuite, cost to repair €X000 based on shower tray, tiling, tiler...", "mould in room X, cosmetic only, no significant damp problem", that type of thing. Is that what you get in a normal pre-purchase survey or is that a specific separate service?
