    Hi,

I have a standard BOI current account. A company in the US want to transfer a sum of USD to me. They can't transfer EUR. If they make the transfer in USD will it make it into my account (fx rate applied of course)?

They can send a USD cheque but that looks like a lot of hassle to cash here.

    Hi Stevie Spoiled Seacoast,

Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.ie.

Yes you can give your bank details to the US company to make payment into your bank account.

If you receive a cheque you can lodge the cheque to your bank account, foreign cheques can take 4-6 weeks to clear and for cash to become available.

    Thanks,

    Tara C
