Tesco seem be clearing a range of hard drives

I just jotted down the following in Arklow (so may be some errors on price/title)

    Seagate 1TB wireless plus €44
    Seagate 500 Gb wireless €36

    seagate 2TB slim usb3 2 prices €38 €32
    Seagate 1TB €21

    Verbatim 500GB €16

    sandisk IXPAND 32GB €9.84

    sandisk IXPAND 64GB €14.99

    Toshiba 1TB €21
    Tolshiba 1TB Aluminium €24.75

A lot of empty space on the shelf but there still were a few there
No guarantees of stock in other stores

You can bring the argos one back, just say the 'read time' is too slow and you think there's something wrong with it!

Hard drives are excluded from their 30 day money back guarantee, if faulty theyll only send it for repair.

Ah ok, ya never know though, if you get some busy young wan behind the counter she mightn't be reading the terms and conditions... It'd probably have to be repackaged and back in the box to have a chance.

Wren they scan the barcode it'll flag as non returnable, it flags when paying and they also tell you. Only way to return is if the shrink wrap is intact or its faulty.

Thank you OP :) Just got myself an absolute bargain, got a 1TB External Seagate HD with built in WiFi and a 10 hour battery so you can take it on the go, €160 in Argos & PC World, got it for €21, happy days :)

Yes, but if you use your hard drive in some unspecified way that violates an unpublished and unpublishable "security" rule that Tesco has set up internally, will their tech support refuse to assist you until you to send them a copy of your passport? ;)

2TB Gingernut HDDs will be available soon from Amazon at the old Jacobs Factory in Tallaght.

I've just been to Tesco in Greystones and there's not even a sign of them ever having been on sale, and the staff member I asked knew nothing about the offer. Is it just certain stores maybe?

Nothing in Clearwater Finglas either. There was a sign for a Seagate, but just dust on the shelf.

All I could see were some 1TB WD Passports for the regular price of €91 or thereabouts. No sign of any special offers anywhere near the other PC/phone stuff.
