I have something on kickstarter called lands of fjords. Many might not like it but if i didn't try then I wouldn't know.

Basically like real lives (simulator/game) but based in a fantasy setting and (trying to) have humor

Overlord is a successor to Descent and was put on Kickstarter a few weeks ago, but it's looking like it won't hit it's target. Shame, as it's the first i've even heard of it and would love a proper descent sequel by the original team (i know Descent Underground is also being made).

really looks fantastic & like a quality product; initial reviews seems very favourable too I believe. For all the bad press Games on Kickstarter can get, it's always worth praising the projects that come to fruition

I'm so tempted to buy that right now, watched Jim Sterling's video of it, and some of the visuals struck me as very Evangelion inspired and that does tickle me right in the interests.

Bumping this thread as came across a tasty-looking Kickstarter that with heavy inspirations from stuff like Hyper Light Drifter, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery, not to mention classics like Out of This World.

The 80s / pixel-art aesthetic may be a bit ubiquitous at this stage in indie projects, but when it's executed as smartly and as arresting as this trailer suggests, it was hard not to take notice. The screen distortions are very jarring mind you, but hopefully that's just the trailer.

I've backed it, because, Spectrum.

Vaguely Spectrum related Julian Gollop (of Chaos and rebelstar etc on Speccy and then onto X-Com) has Phoenix Point doing very nicely on its kickstarter. You get a steam key for Chaos Reborn for $10 pledge and above too.

La Mulana 2 is finished development. Got my steam key today and it should be released in August in the next few days. Physical Backer rewards are delayed but I expected that.

Recently played two Metroidvania's that were on Kickstarter (albeit not mentioned on this thread) and finally came out in the last month or two: the first was Timespinner and takes its cues from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, the few hours I played were lots of fun. Slick and polished, and definitely more a 'classic' of the type - with a very Castlevania soundtrack to boot. The other game was one I actually funded, Chasm, and a huge letdown; while has nice pixelart, the actual gameplay is derivative bordering on lazy & dull. It supposedly contains randomisation but not in any moment-to-moment sense ala Dead Cells.

Backed the Kickstarter for Deathbulge: Battle of the Bands.

Really enjoy the comic and only a $10 for the game. Backed without playing the demo, which is available here.
