car hire excess insurance with platinum card

Hi,
does the travel insurance included in the Mastercard platinum card offered by bank of ireland include car hire excess insurance?

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie regrettably car hire is not covered by the Platinum travel insurance. This would need to be applied for separately as we do not offer this type of insurance. You can read more about the Platinum insurance cover here
