What's the difference between the top strapped CW one above?
I'm sure it's all set out somewhere if you Google it, eg this. The Consumer one does have a top strap, despite the picture.

Cheers. I'll order the Amazon UK one then... no brainer!

I assume it's recommended to get for a first cheap VR experience?

You can read the reviews yourself, but I think so. I lost much of last weekend to Shooting Showdown 2 and this weekend is quite likely to go the same way :D

    Great! Any other recommended apps?

Polyrunner is the other one I've been stuck in.

Any recommendations for a controller I could get for this in-store somewhere in Dublin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭sticker

Anyone recommend a cheap controller that WORKS? - I believe paring a PS4 controller is a nightmare!

As a matter of interest, does the current catalogue of games for Samsung VR justify the purchase?

Dunno. It just means I'm not tapping the side of my head for Shooting Showdown.

    Why not just order online?

Amazon seller does not deliver to Ireland. Where did you get yours?

    Wonder would this do?

Amazon. Different seller I guess. That's just the page that my order history linked to.

Why does it still cost £98.00? Is it gonna get cheaper any soon?

You probably need to root your phone, which voids warranty.

    Hey all,

How do I watch You Tube 360 degree videos in Samsung Gear VR?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-XZhKqQAHU&feature=youtu.be

I seem to be restricted to what's in the store when I put the set on!

I see a VR button on some YouTUbe videos, but it does not work when I am prompted to put the set on. Is this only for Google Cardboard?

Anyone know a quick workaround to see You Tube 360 movies?

    Thanks

Just download the Samsung internet browser from the oculus store and access YouTube through that and when you're watching a 360° video on full screen it will give you an option if mode on the top left corner where you can choose 2d vr

Ahm alright, I don't own one yet so I wouldn't know. Is there no rating system in the Oculus store?

I picked up a Gear VR today. Some games require a controller. Will the touch pad on the headset do for now until I pick up a controller?
