Anyone else having similar problems as me? I have the WETEK box with PBnigma on a 2gb card.

Sometimes when I'm changing channels the box freezes and does not react to anything, the only way is to unplug the box, the problem is when the box is restarting it starts on Kodi or give an error with a black screen, to get it fix and to get it to start on PBnigma I need to unplug and replug the box a few times, also take the SD card out for a few seconds.

Any ideas what it could be, would it help if I use a bigger (10gb) size SD card? Or is that normal with the box.

Other than that small issue, box is great thanks to the guide from Tommycahir, next for me configure timeshift properly.

    Thanks

I have the same setup but with a 32gb sd card. I would regularly have to pull the plug, but it will just boot straight backup, doesnt go into Kodi or anything. It will often hang when I am just flicking through channels. The less flicking I do, the less chances of it happening. I reckon it is just the box, you pay for what you get!

But a 2gb card seems very small, I wouldnt reckon on much timeshift with it!

Ok thanks, so it could be the sd card, it was an old sd card I have, will get a new card.

For timeshift I have a USB stick, can't remember now if 4gb or 16gb.

Just got an email from wetek saying that their new android box the wetek hub will be available in July and Play2 will be available late this summer and Play2S will see the light of day in early 2017.
    Read more about it here.

unfortunately no prices for any of these boxes yet..

The Hub is €89 but it's just an Android box, isn't it? No cable or sat connections.

BTW way Tommy, thanks very much for your PBnigma guide. I'm up and running now and glad I took the plunge as it's so much better for TV than OpenElec or LibreElec and Wetek Theatre.

No worries, glad it is of use to you guys, Yeah I was getting an error on the site which prevented the price from being shown!

Yeah it is just an android box but comes with the Wetek custom build of android os and includes a 2 year warranty unlike alot of the stuff from China seen around these days. Not a box for me but am sure some people will find it good.

It wouldn't be just a loose cable, would it? I've done a hard recovery and while it's tough on the nerves, it worked for me and if you follow the instructions carefully it should be ok. The only thing that went wrong was I detached the wireless antenna, which is easily done btw, but I figured out how to attach it again. I'm not as experienced as some on here but I used the opportunity to flash different set ups onto the nand, something I was too scared to risk before, and I'm better off than before.

Only issue I have now is PBnigma crashes most nights in the early hours. Think it's something to do with timers, or epg refreshes. Tommy's guide is great for setting up but I could really do with a manual! Got the radio bouquets on yesterday by accident and couldn't figure out how to switch back to tv. Had to do it through the web interface.

Have you tried flashing the updated BIOS to it? Have a look at the wetek forum and linuxsupport, great websites for guides and how too do everything.

i had to perform a hard recovery yesterday. tried lots of different guides to no avail, then found http://www.mediafire.com/download/zgl76lab6z6u7hh/Hard-Recovery.zip

worked a treat...then just needed to download an installation image from https://wetek.com/downloads save to SD card, reboot with reset, and select recovery.

Probably a stupid question, but is there a physical tuner required to plug into the back of the box?

When I try a network scan in the settings menu it's coming back with zero channels found.

Just wondering where I'm going wrong

I have a wetek openelec sat box.

    Thanks in advance

Depending on the box you purchased the tuner should already be installed might be for cable or Satellite, if satellite you just connect the cable from the dish to the back of the box, after configure it to show what satellite Astra 19, Astra 28, Eutelsat 16, etc then scan for channels.

If you give more info on how you configure it others might help you better, if you are using PBnigma use the guide created by Tommycahir

    Possiblility not.

Hdmi cable connected into the Hdmi on the TV.

    Plug into the mains.

Theres another cable with the 2 screws on one end. Can't see where that connects to?

I've configured most of the stuff from Tommys very helpful guide.

I think I have just gone wrong somewhere basic. Possibly cable related as mentioned above

Ok on the tuner configuration if you only have 1 cable connected that you only configure that tuner.

A cable with 2 screws in the end? Sounds like a VGA cable. Not needed for this box. Have you your satellite feeds plugged in?

I'm not sure if you're trolling or being serious to be honest.

    No, I'm being serious unfortunately!

Yes, it is a vga cable. I guessed it may not be for this box.

Satellite feeds are plugged in now.

It's scanning now. Looks like I had the satellite scanning configuration set up incorrectly for the scan.

Thanks to you both for your help

Just found this out about the Enigma remote control. When you press the Del button, bottom right corner it brings up the History Zap.

This is dead handy now for flicking between the football on ITV HD and ITV 4 HD!

Pressing the zero key will do it quicker :)
