how the bloody hell do you get water out of your ear. holding my breath and blowing isnt working, yawning isnt working and hitting the otherside of my head while bending over and listening to the toilet flush isnt working either. its driving me up shít creek and i dont have a paddle.

be inventive people, i am desperate

I find the best way to get rid of the water in the ear is to set a cotton bud on fire and jam it in there. (i refuse to take any responsibilty in a court of law)

or get the doc to syringe it

the cotton bud on fire sounds interesting. ill try that later. i have a thing about people sticking objects in my ear so i think ill give the doctor and his syringe a miss. but def trying the cotton on fire. it will be an experience

I've always found water to find it's own way out. If it's really getting on your nerves or persisting, go see a doctor.

I find that lying down with the ear facing the ground for a couple of minutes works for me.. or you could just stick a sponge in there

use a hairdryer.. set it to medium hot (you dont want to singe ur lobes) 2 mins each side should dry you up nicely.

    also works on steak*

    *probably wont

Pinch your nose and then try to blow out of it keeping your mouth closed. Works for me:)

I find lurching ones head forward quickly while turning it, while making one look a bit mad, throws the water out of ones ear.

Outer ear - use the rolled up corner of a piece of tissue paper VERY GENTLY.

Inner ear - eh, dunno, how did you get water in there.

i usually hold my head back for a few seconds, then throw it forward and turn my head left/right depending which ear the water is in

I dunno, I find a good tilting flick of the head works, not too snappy tho. Good luck.

I think the best way is to walk upside down acorss 62 hot coals wearing socks on your ears and some sort of female panites.

    or

walk directly north 5 paces then jump up and down twice. Give it a few seconds and it goes

    or
run around shaking your head wildly and screaming "oooga booga!"

I find option 3 works the best.

Almost all of the above posts appear to refer to the motion one makes when attending a heavy metal concert therefore I have a solution for you:

    1. Buy a ticket for a heavy metal concert
    2. Attend said concert
    3. Blend in with the crowd

Look outside to see if there's a full moon. If there is then go outside and kneel down on a hard surface, facing north. Tilt your head so that you are looking at a 45 degree angle from the ground, upwards. Then the force of the full moon's gravitational pull will encourage the water to vacate the recesses of your inner ear. Simply get up, walk casually back indoors and dry the unwanted water from your neck and shoulder. QED.
