What price was the ticket to Detroit?

I'm weighing up going to NY on about 2 weeks notice - does anyone know is there last minute deals to the US available anywhere?

    Agreed, they are good.
However I found that their London based office www.ebookers.com ( dealing with an agent on the phone there rather than the site itself ) nearly always offers cheaper flights than the Dublin one, when booked with accomadation-at least 30-40% off published fares in many cases if and only if it's paid for up front and booked with accomadation.
That sounds like a draw back, but not if you time the booking to take full advantage of 56 days interest free on your credit card.
Also BA are currently doing a sale at the moment.
But getting tickets from an airlines website at just two weeks notice, throws up Crazy prices ( they just assume you are desperate and charge accordingly very dear )

You could try most of the travel agents windows for deals.
    Alternatively
www.dialaflight.com usually have some good last minute flight only offers, if you can find a cheap way to get over to a london airport( via Ryan air + bus/train if you don't mind that )check their website for deals to the states or anwhere across Europe.
A search for New york , leaving in just2 weeks for instance pulled this up:
Our Best Buy Price from HEATHROW to NEW YORK, J.F.K. is £212 (+ £58 tax).
Flying with ICELAND AIR. Leaving on Friday, June 20, 2003, and returning on Saturday, July 12, 2003.
    Hope that helps
