The very first Sky One programme to be shown in widescreen is on tonight. I wonder how they will show it? Proper anamorphic widescreen, or damn letterbox.

Wonder how NTL analogue will cope with it? Will we get squashed people like we did when E4 first started?

    Only time will tell! :)

    "The John Leslie Scandal"

    Channel: Sky One
    Date: Wednesday 4th June 2003
    Time: 22:00 to 23:00

Documentary about the allegations, the witch-hunt and the tabloid frenzy surrounding the arrest of John Leslie in 2002. Widescreen.

Don't know about sky digital but on ntl digital the screen formats have been acting odd all week on sky one.

I presume that it'll be in 14:9 format on analogue though, i doubt it'll be in 16:9.

NTL cropped it to 4:3 on analogue (not 14:9).

On my widescreen TV, I could only see the 'ne' of 'Sky One' logo on the top left hand corner of the screen. Not good.

Unfortunatly NTL analogue is no good if you want to watch proper widescreen broadcasts.
