was a bit apprehensive at first as I wasnt quite sure but was a cool place on the inside. Have to admit the music was good but not on par with Trintiy Arch lads!

...yes, that was me just over two months ago. Walkin past it twice most days for the last few years I swore I'd never go in there for fear of all the whatnots and oddities that I had imagined.

Gotta say, the best thing I did was give in and go (yew know who you are ;)) I was pleasantly surprised :) and became a regular within days.

/me wonders when the next queer beers will be...

    It is what it's.

heading there in a minute for the first time. Bit apprehensive though that they make you queue outside in one of the most dangerous cities in the world.

Popped into GUBU for a brief few seconds, but felt all paranoid because I was on my own and there were no free barstools. Have to find a place where there's a friendly barman to talk to or something

GUBU was the first Irish "gay venue" I ever ventured into and it remains my favourite...

    Where is Trinity Arch

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Was in the Red Box for the first time on Saturday for "Old Skool"..

I got the impression that the group of people dancing around me were gay and was kind of half flirting.
I was pleasently surprised when two guys in front of me started snogging which confirmed that.

For whatever reason, I had imagined the red box to be a super straight and rough place.. I got a good impression on Saturday anyways.. Happy, smiley people! Perhaps it's not always like that.

The old dance tracks really added to the night too!
