Went to watch Justice League yesterday after missing it for the last few weeks and what did TG4 go and do?
Dub the damn thing in Irish.

    That's just wrong.

It's a Irish language marketing strategy a bit like getting someone hooked on heroin. They let you get really into the show and then dub it into Irish when they know that you're watching it continuously :D

They started it off as geilge.

As far as I know 5.30 of Fridays in English agus De Luin 5.30 as Geilge. Ceapim.

Yes it is an Irish Lanuage station so they do need shows, Did you understand it in Irish and did they change the script that much that you noticed that they ruined it??????? I know they put in Irish Jokes into the scripts on the Muppets, which I find odd.

The Muppet show as Gaelige is wierd.

The Little Raskels was also dubbed.

RTE used have a german show "Blackforest Clinic" which was dubbed in English.

I used to love watching it as it was completely out of time and the show was pretty dire to boot.

    Well, if "weird" means "criminal":D

I fully accept it's supposed to be an Irish-language station but they drew me in by having all of them in English and now they're doing the dirt by dubbing some in Irish. Nickelodeon used show them in the evenings, all gnoe I'm afraid.

I can recall that one. I'm sure it was one of the cheapest buy-ins they ever had. I suppose we're not very used to having dubbed shows here, on the continent they're pretty used to it.

I think they dub the muppets well (It seems in time to me on all their shows), at least they don't dub the special guest star.

Host of the Mupets tonight: Ta tu liofa as geilge, Michele

    Michele Phiffer: Oh! its nothing.

    I think its funny.

    anyway.

Edit: ok for those of you who aren't liofa as geilge, liofa means fluent.

Michele Pfipher comes into the Muppet tonight backstage area and meets The host of the show the host of the show congradulates her on her fluence in the Irish lanuage and michele phifer replies in english Oh its nothing at all. The people that dub the show just put in a small joke of actually dubbing the show in Irish.

Also most of these shows are English on TG4 during the week anyway.
