Me and a couple of boyz are planning on starting a band during the summer. Does anybody know any good songs to cover? Our influences include Wilt, Turn, Muse, Idlewild, Berkeley, QOTSA and others. We only have one guitarist so no big solos. Green Day and Foo Fighters need not apply.

any style band can cover any abba song. it might sound crazy but they are really easy to put your own spin on, they are fun to play and any crowd loves to hear them

Perfect New Order - Blue Monday live and it would go down a treat. Such an amazing song when done with drums, bass guitar and electric guitar only. You would get lots of credit points for doing it aswell.

A good book is he Guitar Tab WHite Pages. Around 150 songs or so, all the "hits" of everything from Jimi Hendrix to Four Non Blondes. Very good for learning the popular stuff.
