    I love Shevchenko & Dida :)

No more than Milan deserved, Juve just tried to stop them playing for the whole match.

    Even though I don't like Ancelotti's tactics... g'wan you beauty :)

Yeah fair play to Dida and his superb ability to charge at people as they're running up to take a penalty.

:D Yeah that was a blatent run out, was'nt it?

Still AC deserved the win as they seemed to want to win. Juve were very poor in attack - no service, no movement.

    Mike.

He never moved untill the ball was hit...
Might have something to do with the rule that a keeper cant move off his line untill the ball is hit...
But sure, you must be right LTM...

Seriously, are you going to Argue with Dida?
The man is 6'6" and weighs something like 18st...
    eeep!
But all the same Milan were the far better team, Rui Costa was amazing, Shevchenko iwaawesome, Gattauso and Seedorf played thier hearts out, the whole teams was great, and fair ****s to Roque Junior, I mean he could hardly walk and he still kept running around trying to do his best, not like yer man for Bayern a few years ago who had a tiny limp and wanted to go sit on the bench for the last 15 mins!

No Gandalf, I'm going to argue with you. For Montero's penalty Dida was about three or four yards off the line when it was struck, anyone with a pair of eyes will agree with me ;D

Milan were the better team I guess, but not by that much. Rui Costa had a poor game, Shevchenko wasn't up to much in the second half. Seedorf and Gattuso were very good though.

If Rui Costa had a poor game then Del Peiro didn't do a thing,
Rui Costa had 5 or 6 moments of brillence where he was the pivit of milans attacks, he left defenders on thier arses a few times and played some great passes, if you call that a poor game then you have seriously high expetitions.
Geez, next you will say that it wasn't a good game!

In fairness all keepers do it these days, Buffon was at it aswell although he wasn't as quick off the mark as old Dida.

Happy to see Milan win it, they just about deserved it on the night. Felt really sorry for Juve tho, especially Trezeguet.

// EDIT - on the subject of Trezeguet, did he even touch the ball in the second half or in extra time ?

Yea he moved but Dida could have closed his eyes and stood still and he still would've saved that peno.

And I still don't think Shevchenko's goal should have been disallowed, despite what the Juve fans at UTV think. Nobody really blocked Buffons view and the ball took a deflection anyway.

Ah well. Milan = back where they belong.

that was one of the most boring games i have ever seen. even some of the penalties were terrible

The match was grand up until davids came off. That left Gattuso free to 0wn midfield, and Juve never had an answer. I know that's exactly what the ITV commentators said, but it's true :)

The rest of the match was really boring. Even for me, and I'm a juve fan who had money running on the game :)

It's true Dida was miles off his line, but that rule is never enforced, and it's true that he could have sat on his arrse and still saved those three penalties.

I wish Nedved could have played. As for Del Piero... what the hell is wrong with him? He's such an inconsistent bastid. Wan teh Conte.

I don't think rui costa had a great game, and shevchenko was threatening at the start, but eased off after that. Gattuso and Seedorf made up for them, though.

    Blah

    G'wan Milan.

I for one am very happy today. I said at the start of the CL along with others that Milan would win it and I remember people saying "No way Utd or Real will" :)

Well they held through. A brilliant game from Rui Costa and Gattuso and as for Shevchenko, he turned it on last night and held his nerve for the penalty. Duno why yer arguing over the penalty, the match should have been over after 90 min with Shevchenko's goal. ;)

Nothing worng with keepers moving imo the striker has a 90% chance of scoring keepers moving gives them a little more than 10% of saving it.

Match was fairly boring with both sides trying harder to not lose than win.

Most boring CL final I've ever seen, and I've seen a few. Perhaps committing more than 2 players to an attack is a reasonable system of football, someone should explain that to an Italian coach or two :p

It was always likely to be such a match with 2 italian teams in the final.

    Very disappointing finale.
