Intro guide to Ladder Logic?

Looking for a decent introductory guide to Ladder Logic for some of our sparks. More to give an understanding of whats going on rather than for programming. Would end up being used with RS Logix on Allen Bradley and GE Fanuc PLC's and probably on ASi as well. Appreciate if anyone knows of any good books.
