just rang sky to enquire about Premiership Plus season ticket. It's £40 till the end of the month in England but €64 here. At the moment £40 = €55. Why €64. They couldn't even leave it at €60 the greedy bastards. Also she said after May the price is €160.

Why Can't We Book The Premiership Plus Season Ticket Through The Red Button on Channel 433, like they can in the UK. When will SKY stop Treating their Irish customers like second class casts offs.

€160 after may...what a bloody rip off. I have got the prem plus season ticket for the last two seasons at a reasonable price just before the start of the season. I won't be getting it this season though at that price.
Of course my team (West Ham) are no longer in the premiership (sob sob) so I won't be bothered about it anyway :-)

Why not send them a letter, saying you want to subscribe to Premiership Plus, and that you are enclosing a postal order for £40.

I bought one yesterday at the PO for £55.50 and it cost me €81, therefore you should get a £40 PO for about €58/9.

I doubt they could refuse your money.

I attempted something like that in order to get the Sky+ features activated. I told Sky that I would happily pay the sterling cost of the Sky+ sub, but they said that they cannot accept sterling payments from customers in ROI.

I went through all the arguements about using credit cards without having to worry about currency conversion issues but they did not want to hear about it.

I would be amazed if you got them to accept sterling payment.

Just rang up to enquire about renewing my Premiership Plus Season Ticket for the third season running! Just found out that I'm a regular but not appreciate customer.

Price now is €81.00 Sterling price is now £50

Exchange rate says it should be €70

Price will not get any lower now. I suggest no one now bothers renewing until the last minute if at all.

They are just rip off merchants. There's enough live footie without it anyway. I found it difficult to allocate time to the family last season!!

Not going to bother getting it now. Will put up with the 5live commentaries on FTV Card.

...so that you could be ripped off?

I sent an email to Comreg about this and they replied that I should take it up with the Trading Standards Office in West Lothian. They even sent me the postal address and phone number (they must know them well) but no email address.

Wait until a few weeks before the season starts and it will be at £40 again

where did you hear this. besides Sky have their own currency rates and it is way too expensive compared to what they pay in the UK

any PPV games that i want to see will be watched in the pub, it beats giving the money to Sky

I used to think this too but instead of paying €7.50 to Sky, I'll more than likely end up giving €10 plus to a greedy publican. We're screwed if we do and screwed if we don't. Don't you just love this country.

it depends on where you go. 2 pints at €3.50 each = €7 which is cheaper than Sky's €7.50 :) thank christ i'm a slow drinker starting off

unfortunatly I usually have 2 pints gone before kickoff. Costs me a fortune to watch footy in the pub.

If Premier + had only the top six i would get it but watching Southampton vs West Brom is a waste and Eurosport show Serie A at the same time so i think i will stick with the

11-2 Grand Prix/ Goals on Sunday
    2-4 Serie A
    4- 6 Soccer Sunday
    6-7 simpsons
    7-10 Spanish Football

Sunday is a hard day for me :D

Think i'll just stick with sky. £1 per game. Thats pretty sound. If i went to the pub its more likely to be £30.

So there is a benefit to living in the north afterall
