    Hallo Dorks,

I'm going into Dublin City later today with a bunch of CVs.
Alas online recruitment sites I've tried to utilise in the last 2 weeks were useless.

So basically I'm gonna do things the old fashioned way, and wear down my boot soles going around the agencies.

Thing is, I'm not really sure of the location of that many agencies.
I know theres a few on Dawson st but thats it.

Could you guys please do me a favour and spam the locations of as many (good) recruitment agencies you can into this post, preferably around the central dublin area and specialising in IT (doesn't have to be strictly IT though so others might find use with this thread).

    Cheers.

Yep the old fashioned way is apparently better. There is only a 10% response rate through online recurity agenices so i have heard....

here's a couple to get you started!

    www.netnation.ie (pearse street)
    www.sigmarrecruitment.com (dawson street)
    www.peoplegroup.ie (clanwilliam sqaure)

try golden pages.ie to get a listing of recruitment companies inthe old smoke.
may save you from strolling about too much :)

you can plan a day route and take in some museums and coffee shops :)

Check all the doors around fitzwilliams square (I think its called, off to the left at the top of leeson street). Theres usually a few around there. Try on your right then when coming down leeson street again. Then head over towards merrion square and try the doors around it. Used to be about 5/6 tech based recruitment agencies between those two places. Also try on your left towards the bottom of grafton street (look up on the 2nd floor).

I know these are very vague instructions, but I'm just recalling the places I went to went looking. Try not let them fob you off with a need for an appointment and bring 10 copies of your cv with you. You can usually at least get a chat with someone for 5 minutes.

Exactly. Just ring them up and book appointments with a few of them. Most of them are pants though. They mainly rely on advertising jobs, so its only by pot luck you'll get something by going in person that you won't get by sending in your CV for a specific position advertised.

2 weeks is nothing, did you expect to walk into a job at the moment?
