Thanks for replies, aaahhh I was one of those lucky or unlucky ones who had ADSL switched off, needless to say I could not believe it when it was not offered a subscription after the trial. I would call that a golden opportunity missed but that seems to be the story in Ireland. Roll out BB but just to confuse people put in a cap, or offer a self install but retain the modem or offer a service with no download limit but insist on paying for a domain name or adevertise a service that is only available in Dublin and so on it goes.

Does anyone in Ireland realise that people with the internet a) read foreign news, b) know people in UK or Usa) c) know what others pay for BB and on it goes.

30 million BB in USA, 2 million in UK, 10,000 or is it 1, 000 in Ireland.

I will wait a bit longer as hope someone will take notice and put a rocket under EIROCN, BT ESAT and et al.

I have to say shame on BT, no limits in the UK but 5 gig in Ireland Why?

ps do I take it no one in ENNIS has taken up BB yet.

I'm in ennis, I've been getting the runaround from eircom and netsource since the end of april.

Eircom quoted me a 17 working day lead time on DSL orders yesterday.

I do know that some people who had their DSL trial lines disconnected in march have been reconnected though.

    Thanks Echo----

I thought there was a delay although EIRCOM have writtten to me saying my line has been upgraded but when I found out about this download limit I got a bit worried re cost and how could I know what EIRCOM said was correct. Have contacted ESAT and NETSOURCE and both have said I can have it.

ESAT sound ok but keeping the modem as their property is a bit rough, NETSOURCE great until they hit you with Self Install as we have no engineers outside DUBLIN and no u can't opt out of the domain thingy at 10 euro pm.

I am going to wait until end of june and see what FRIACO throws up.
