Who do you think will win the most important match in world club football?
Personally I believe Milan will win just because thier squad is stronger and they seem to want it more.
And on top of that, Juve have proven a few times this season that without Nedved they have a serious lack of creativity in midfelid, especially now that they play Sandro Del Piero as an out and out striker and not behind a master poacher (i.e. Pippo Inzaghi).

I think it will be a tight match with little goal action because both teams are exclent at the back, although milan have the upper hand in Maldini and Nesta.

If milan choose to play a more standerd 4 man midfelid with ambrosini and pirlo they could really control the middle, and if they chose to play Serginho they could wreck havoc down the left wing because of his pace and creative spark.

And yeah, I am very biased, Juve are good, the Rossoneri are better.

Hopefully it will be a good match. Juventes are the Italian league winners so going by the whole Man Utd / Arsenal argument, they are the better team. Hopefully this match will change that though - Milan have been the more positive team this season.

    2 - 0 Milan

I think Juve will win a close (boring?) match 1-0

Agree with both of ye that Milan will win, but it will all depend on what midfield Milan put out. Anschelotti (sp??) has messed up his squad rotation system this year and IMO that cost them the Seria A title. But I still reckon Milan will do it. Both teams are good defensively but teh loss of Nedved will be the deciding factor on Juve's attacking force.

    Milan to win

Hopefully it be a good match but penalties looks like it will decide this one.
Last few finals have been fairly crap maybe the one that looks the most boring will be the best.

I agree about Ancelotti messing up the midfelid this year, but the poor fecker had far too meny options, and he had to try and keep all of them happy, like Rui Costa, Serginho, Rivaldo, Gattuaso, Ambrosini, pirlo, Seedorf, Brocci, Redondo, with those players to chose fron, and all of they screaming for first team football, and all of them deserving it..
I think he will sort it out...soon...

ik still cant figure out this "Italian football is boring" mentality, there was more goals scored this year in the italian league than any other top league in the world, there is more scorers from italian teams in europ that anyother league, most of the best attacking players in the world play in Italy, the teams just happen to have great defenderstoo, it doesnt make it borin, it makes it competitive, somethig that cant be said about England/Germany/France.

Along with the best attackers in itlay come the best Defenders.
I love Italian football but when it comes to one off finals they will play not to lose and hence it looks like a boring game.

But hopefully it wont be CL needs a good final ,the Uefa has had some cracking finals latley but CL gets to negative.

I've gone for AC since the start of the season, so hopefully they'll do it. They seem to be saving their best performances for the Champions League, they've been very inconsistent in the League, too many games where they haven't even scored. But they always (usually) do well against the big teams. If Rui Costa is on song, and Rivaldo is kept on the bench, then they can win.

    My prediction: 2-1 Milan

If Juventus play the way they did in Turin against Real Madrid then they will win the final at Old Trafford.
Davids will play a key role in midfield as will Trezeguet up front, it should be a good match so I am goin for Juventus to win by the odd goal in 3!
    Juve 2-1

I think Milan will win for 2 reasons #1 Filippo Inzaghi and #2 Manuel Rui Costa!!!! I think juves attack is damaged by the absence of Pavel Nedved but then again they do have Del Piero and Trezeguet! Milan have a more solid back line with Maldini and Nesta but there reluctance to play Rivaldo is hard to understand!! Gattuso is also a solid player but Davids is always hard to stop! It'll be a hard faught match but in the end Milan have that extra bit of class to win it.

Their reluctance to play Rivaldo is pretty much due to your reason #2 Milan will win.

    Milan to win 3-1.

Milan rested all their 1st team players at the weekend while, strangely, Juventus played Del Piero, Trezeguet and some other first teamers... I don't see the logic behind it but they did.

Without Nedved, I can't see who else will drive them forward. Zalayeta could be dangerous but he's usually on the wing.

Oh well... here's hoping Milan win the CL and cap it off with a yummy Copa Italia. They're already 4-1 up against Roma :D

Geez PiE old chum, it seems we were right all along!

Apart from the score... which was more wishful thinking on my part than any logic. I was hoping both teams would be up for the match and there'd be a few goals... should've know Juve would just stifle the opposition when I saw Nedved being ruled out :\

Did anyone think that the third or fourth penalty saved by Milan was a bit dodgy? - keeper way off the line when the ball was struck.

For two Italian Teams i taught it was a fairly open match, feel sorry for Juventus third european cup defeat in the last ten years.
Congrats to Milan ,can't believe they left Rivaldo on the bench for the whole match.

The reason Rivaldo was left on the bench was because they were forced to make defensive changes with Costacurta not being fully fit etc. Also, he has been awful this season, I've seen him a few times and he isn't a quarter the player he used to be. I knew they wouldn't play him.
Thought the first half was very open, Milan pressed the play, Juve did the same to a degree. But the rest of the game was a joke. Juve just retreated and ruined the game. The peno shootout was the worst I've ever seen. Couldn't believe how terrible some of the efforts were. Seedorf must be a relieved man, has he ever not missed a peno ?!
