IBM Thinkpad 600e Partition config

hi guys, I have an image disk that is suposedly in the original configuration of the 600e. now this is fine and dandy but the drive is split onto a 2.5 and 4.5 split. Is this the way they came supplied? i doubt it myself, but just wanted to check.

I have a 600E myself and it's definitely not partioned off.
