    Hi all,

I have a Redhat box (ver9 kernel: 2.4.20-8). Is setting up samba a big deal to set up? I have a XP pro box I want to share files with... probably by sharing a /tmp directory on the Redhat box. If that's not too much would internet sharing work? Basically the XP box has the internet connection (ISDN) and Redhat box has a crossover to it.

No, it's very easy. Install it using rpm, edit the smb.conf configuration file changing your workgroup, address to listen on.

add yourself as a valid user and away you go.
