dropping connection

I have a normal 56k dial up connection to eircom but over the past few weeks i keep on getting dropped connections and tis drivin me mad!!! Anyone have any iders as to what is happening?? Or is it just me being punished for not having DSL ;)

I know its about slow surfing but before i cleaned my machine of all the spyware adware etc i was getting dropped connections as well

See if thats the prob
