I use http://www.choicestationery.com. Their multipacks are good value, for example £9 + £3.50 sterling postage (alas they do charge shipping to Ireland) for six black compatible cartridges for an Epson C40 here: http://www.choicestationery.com/acatalog/Epson_Stylus_Colour_C40.html

Their HP page lists cartridges starting from around £10: http://www.choicestationery.com/acatalog/Hewlett_Packard_Compatibles.html

Disclaimer: I use these cartridges for thesis drafts, letters, etc and have no idea how good they are for fine quality photo printing-and I've only used the Epson ones :)

I hereby endorse this product and/or service.

But really, they're very well priced for original (Epson at least) ink cartridges.

    It is what it's.

I've just noticed that Play.com sell compatible ink cartridges for some Canon & Epson printers. The prices range from £2.99 - £4.99 with free shipping :) Not too shabby if you ask me. I've no idea what the quality of the ink is like but at those prices its not going to break the bank to test them out.

You can click on the link below or go to www.play.com and search for "ink" under PC Games*

    I have used MX2.com and 7dayshop.com

Usually about 6.99 for 3 blacks and 9.99 for 3 colours, STG that is and 1.5 postage... About the same price as an original epson colour cart

they are for an epson stylus colour 850, I cant tell the difference between the original and replacement carts output, put then its not photoquality printing.

7dayshop can be slow to deliver sometimes, but always arrives eventually.... MX2 have always been quick... last time was 2 days for 3 blacks and 3 colours for my Dads, epson 460...

If we get a good list of suppliers we'll make a inkjet sticky....

Anyone know a source for injet cleaning carts? ... I got some from 7dayshop before, but they dont carry much of a range now....

My order got dispatched on Friday, arrieved on Monday.
Nice speed for comming from London,
The cartiages aren't brillant for photo quality, though I've only printed on "fine" quality so far, but they'll do a decent job though for nearly 7e a cartiage

I ordered 3 Hp 78 Colour crtridges from Viking Direct.
Just tried them now and had to throw them ALL in the bin.
2 had no Blue in in them and 1 had no yelloe.
Then i put one i got in PC world into the printer and it was perfect.
Thats what i get for ordering cheap cartridges.
AVOID VIKING DIRECT like the plague when it comes to ink.
3 broken ones out of 3 is pathetic.

While viking may not have the cheapest prices for stuff, certainly not their ink, they will change almost anything out for you... if you call them and tell them the carts dont work, they will most likely change them without a quibble and no charge for delivery...

Did this for several items for me over the years in the office.

Save you a few quid for a few cents phone call.

    Anyone ever use www.cartex.co.uk ?

It's pretty cheap costing £10.45 for both black and colour inks for an Epson C62 and the price includes postage @ £0.90

I've just made an order so I'll post back on their reliability and cart quality

    This is a great site:-

    http://www.box-shift.co.uk/cgi-bin/home.asp

I have ordered there cloned carts and the brilliant .... and only a fraction of the price!

I get my ink carts refilled in 'Cartridge World' on the Navan Road in Dublin (Just up the road from the Maple Centre/Library). I've changed printers a couple of times and they've always provided a great service. Inks are top quality too. Refill only takes a couple of mins and they're up to 60% cheaper than new. Give them a bell and they'll give you a quote over the phone usually. They just need the printer cartridge code.
    I would highly recommend them.
    Here's the site:

Have to agree. If its original cartridges you are after then this is the place (its the cheapest for Lexmark anyhow)

Viking direct are good for a lot of things but a lexmark no. 16 costs €31.45 incl. vat and unless you order more than €75 (excl. vat) you pay for delivery on top of that.

The same cartridge from MX2 is £14.88 which works out about €22 with free delivery.

Someone suggested inkjet.ie. Their compatible Lexmark cartridges work out dearer than the originals from MX2
