    oh god,
that page really shocked me. I did find it disturbing but it's what happens.

Like those ads on tv where the mother and son get hit by the car and where the young boy gets hit by a car when he's texting. It's real life, this stuff happens every day.

It reallly does makes you think.

AFAIK this was actually the subject of an ad campaign in South America. I think I saw it on Tarrant on TV or something.

It's funny, in the old days they had Judge the dog from Wanderly Wagon singing "the green cross code". Today they have shots of women and little children being pulverised by an oncoming vehicle. Just goes to show you how much society has changed in the last 20 years. A singing puppet just doesn't cut it any more

I was tempted to say the same thing Sposs. I looked at this this morning, and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. Now I wish I hadn't looked at it at all.

hmm im tempted to look now...who the hell is "Jacqueline" ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 197 ✭✭EnigmasWhisper

As for the guy that was driving, that could have been me in my younger years. I was the muppet regularly hopping up onto my vespa tanked to the neck, with some chick behind oblivious to the dangers. Risking not only my life, but much more importantly, the life of another.

Thankfuly I was fortunate to have escaped injury or causing anyone else injury. The thought of drinking and driving now disgusts me as I have since lost many close friends through this pointless and inexcusable behaviour.

God love her! But if the website saves another going through the same perhaps its will have served its purpose?

That's certainly an eye opener, unfortunately I'm afaid the scum who do drink and drive won't be browsing this forum or watching Tarrant on TV.

    Holy Jesus

    That's some wake up call,

I was thinking a few years ago why I never see a Garda car outside a pub at closing, never ever ever, ok the odd check point but never right outside a pub,

This probably isn't the place for this, but why don't the Garda choose say 20 random pubs every night and just park outside?

the few local pubs near me have car parks for 100+ cars which are always at least half full on any given night, why is there 50 cars parked in a pub at 11.30 at night ? You go in and would find it hard to find more than 10 people not drinking alcohol,

    What gives ?

theres ALOT the gardai could be doing - what is stoping them puting 10-15 gardai on o connel street at weekend nights, surely that would stop 90% of the attacks ?

Actually Tusky I seem to recall Pearse st. being a very bad place for people getting knifed and beaten up. Funny because there's a Gard station on Pearse St. :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,754 ✭✭✭Big Chief

theres a garda station at the top of of o'connell street to though?
