Has anyone got a Sky+ box from the north?

If you did, please give the name of the shop, and mention if you had any problems.

    Thanks,

    Grayarea.

Has anyone delt with these guys?

    South Cheshire Aeria & sat

They are selling new sky+ boxes on ebay for £275, I know this is more than getting it fitted by Sky, but at least you could do the wiring the way you wanted.

It would also be persoanal statment about the way Sky are trying to sell here.

I was on to Sky this am, and they informed me that if I was get a Sky+ box in UK then I would have to take out a contract with a Uk address, so how does that work? I told him I already had a contract, his answer - Dixons or Sky's agents in the the UK can only sell to people in the UK. Is that correct or is it spoof?

Ah, the Biddy's and sir's in Sky are displaying their usual lack of knowledge and dis information.

Trust me, if they have them in stock, Dixons etc will pull the arm out of your socket to give you a sky plus box.
Possibly at £249 as opposed to £199 though.
The £199 offer may be subject to a UK contract number, but I doubt it, also it's only running for another ten days or so afaik.

I bought mine in dixons in London, in february for £249, just a case of walking in and handing over the credit card-no questions.
Except they did ask if I was an existing customer, they would have signed me up if I wasn't, if I had a UK address, yer man took out a stack of forms..... but then went on about these warranty forms he had.
Clearly they get Kudos for new contracts and extended warranties.
They will try very hard to sell you an extended warranty, so I hope you are good at saying NO.

I went into Curry's in the UK and had no problem getting the Sky + box. It seems like so long ago now. Oh, wait, it was...
