I have an Irish setter, he's about 7 months old. A purebred, according to the papers (apparently his great grandmother did the Bus Eireann ads...). But. Is it unusual for these dogs to have the occasional white hair? i mean, apart from the white patch on his chest, his coat has a few tiny streaks of white here and there,…

I have an Irish setter, he's about 7 months old. A purebred, according to the papers (apparently his great grandmother did the Bus Eireann ads...).

But.

Is it unusual for these dogs to have the occasional white hair? i mean, apart from the white patch on his chest, his coat has a few tiny streaks of white here and there, but from a distance he's the traditional deep red. Could it be dodgy breeding, or just a wee throwback to the times when they mostly had white hair?

Just wondering, is all...
