I can remember the trailer for The Terminator scaring the sh1t out of me, also The Thirteenth Floor (I think, it was a skyscraper where all the lights turned off till a huge skull appeared:eek: )
Also, I made the mistake of getting up for a drink when Thats Hollywood was on- and saw a clip of Omen2. What stuck in YOUR mind?

For some unknown reason the horror movie "house" scared the sh*t out of me,

saw it sometime later and laughed at how awful it actually was.

poltergeist, i think i was into double figures when i first saw it, still scared the poop out of me.
apart from that, i can't remember the last time i've been scared by a movie (unless you count that bit in independance day when the alien slaps the scientists body against the window, makes me jump every time)

The Omen scared the snot outa me when I was younger. IT was good in the bad way too (or is that bad in the good way?.. eh, whatever)

My little sister managed to see Terminator 2 when she was about five or six. For quite a while afterwards she wouldn't sit in the same room as a television unless it was showing cartoons... anything live action and she'd scream untill it's turned over.

I used to find it very amusing tbh

Everyone knows that alien was the worlds scariest movie when you're a kid. 'IT' was scary too. The thing was quite scary.
None of them really scared me, except for some stupid robot/monster thing in a cartoon. I don't know why but I always thought his head was going to come out of the toiliet. Having to do the number2 every second day was quite a nasty thing for a few weeks.

That reminds me of the 'Ghoulies'........ little monsters who hung aroung in a toilet amongst other things.
I was allowed to watch halloween 2 , after begging for a long while. Then wished I hadn't

crappy horror B movie called "The Beyond" and "House"

I had a paperround at the time, and in the winter it was still dark when I was delivering the papers. It was so f*cking scary going up peoples dark driveways to put the paper in the letterbox.

    had to quit the job.

God what scarred me for life was the sequel to the Wizard of Oz... those wheelie things, they had big long arms with wheels at the end of them...This has stayed with me all my days and my friends keep threatening to root out the film and strap me down in a Clockwork Orange type way..
    Dear God no!

Mission to Mars (1968) I was 9 or 10 when I caught it at the local
feapit in the mid-70s. The scene I still remember was were the unlucky astronuats are sucked into this silver sphere which opens up and they die screaming!

I'm sure it looks hopelessly cheesy now...:)

    Mike.

hmmm.. "It" comes to mind of course.
When I first saw a bit of aliens, as a nipper, I was terrifed (I didnt have to see any of the aliens; I was scared by the marines preparations and the music
    Yeah critters
    and Tremors
    and Bowie in labyrinth
Basically the whole of "masters of the universe" (especially the bit where the baby gets taken)
Yeah the wheelies from wizard of ozz sequel kept me awake for quite a while.
and er.. "button moon", (I know its not a "movie scare" but what the hell), actually thinking back I was a cowardly child, all things considered...:)

oh yeah there was a bit in one of the neverending story films when the kid has to go past these two statues, which, a moment before, had atomised a knight with laser eyes.

The first 'alien' movie scared me to death when I was a child, the second one was pretty scarey too, but not in the creepy way the first one did.

I remember seeing the exorcist on video for the first time when I was about 12 and whilst I didn't find it particularily horrifying that scene where the priests mother is waving to him from across the street and a single frame of a man with a demons face is spliced in (Tyler Durden style) scared the **** out of me. I had to rewind just to make sure I wasn't freaking out cos at that tender age I'd never seen such an effect used in a movie.

As to what the **** a store-assistant was doing renting the exorcist to an 12year old kid I still don't know! Maybe he wanted to 'warp mah fragil little mihnd' or something? Mission accomplised in any case!
