Looking for some help. Thinking of going on a surf holiday, dont know how to surf well but something would like to try. I have searched and searched but found nothing suitable, any advise/info please. Also can anyone advise on a good place to go if you are going alone. GF is going away with others, so will be traveling…

How about the west of Ireland, or France. Check out www.wannasurf.com, that has details about places to go all over the world. If you do go to France make sure that they are still not suffering the effects of the Prestige oil spill.
