MartL *did* reply to that thread. Before he excused himself from our community on the grounds that it was past his bedtime and that Jim Henson needed to take his hand out of his butt.

The post was deleted but the mail was already in the post.

    DeV.

Ah OK, i thought that might have been it, but only for the fact that it happened a couple of times i would not have brought it up

    On another mailer note...
There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the board again.

Can this be re-enabled? Even from the above image i got numerous notices of replies to the geforce thread

Not quite following what you mean, but this may be a similar issue, where if a post is added, you get a mail, then if that post is deleted and another post on the thread made, then the logic of the notifier will look to the previous post to decide if you've been notified already (based on your last visit to the board).

Some people (Sev comes to mind) continually delete/repost the same post instead of just editing for example which causes a load of mails to drop into your inbox ...

Yeah, i know about the deleting thing.

If you look at the top 3 mails they are all about the same thread. Can it be done that if you have not visited that thread that it will not keep sending out mails at each reply.

As far as I am aware, the logic is as simple as looking at the time of the previous post and seeing if it is earlier than your last visit, so if you keep updating your last visit without visiting that thread then you'll get that behaviour.

I'm not sure if this is an issue for anyone else, them not being able to reply doesn't help, but can it be modified to go by a thread by thread basis?

It could, but I'm not sure if it will.
