Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dublin taxi users may soon have to pay more to hire a cab in the city.

Three of Dublin's four local authorities have approved a 50c hike in the standard hiring charge, which currently stands at E2.75.

Dublin City, South Dublin and Fingal councils approved the price change last night, although the new fares cannott be implemented unless the fourth local authority, Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown, also backs the move.

The Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown council is due to hold a meeting next month at which time a decision will be made.

Taxi's are expensive enough as it is. I can't see a reason to give them another hike... didn't they get one last year?

They haven't said "no" yet. The other 3 are waiting on their decision
