Posting here because no one seems to have noticed it on the MS board, and more hits on thei forum..
OK, running W2K, I did a 'repair' on the OS because something fecked up all my games by messing around with .dll's, but the problem is that some programs seem to be not working, even though I re-installed them, when i run them i get the title error message,
I also seem to need to have the Office Xp, and W2k cd in the drive as when I boot the computer & open up some programs, the "preparing to install" pops up and reads from the cds..
this is really getting annoying, anyone any clues?

If it's that fscked I'd just reinstall, as the stuff you need isn't working anyway so no need to keep the installation.

You could try installing the service packs in case they fix something that was wrong in the repair on the final release.
