    Anybody remember this?
It's been released on DVD, and from what I can see it's all the episodes. I'm assuming this because the dvd is nearly 4 hours long.

Tempted to buy it at that price. It works out at about €8.35

I always loved the part in the opening credits where he sliced up an apple in mid air and it fell into loads of feather like pieces.
Can't remember the name of the princess in it but for a cartoon dog she was pretty fine.

That was the first programme that was on when we got multichannel. That theme tune was cool...

She was mysteriously known as M'Lady, wasn't she?

Hated Hated Hate that show! Used to drive me mental!
I would rather watch several old episodes of Emmerdale or Upstairs Downstairs (my mum was a fan) rather than that rubbish.
4 words: Bad Animation Bad Dubbing!

Ahhhh at last someone else who hates Dogtanian!!!!

My girlfriend loved that stupid program and it came up in conversation when a gang of us were out one night. Unfortunately, I was alone in saying I hated it........

sorry to hear anyone hated dogtanian, but I can sort of understand, but I used to race home from school to watch that show.

will be investing in that DVD for future recreations of my childhood years.

I thought M'Lady was the bad one that always went around in a red cloak with the cardinal? Or am I just gettin mixed up?

    Dogtanian's love interest was "Juliet".

The series was bloody long. THere was another series, following him as a muskahound - even had dealings in England with the Duke-of-whatsitsname to prevent his affair with the Queen of France breaking out.

An affair? In a children's cartoon? Surely not!:p

I remember it well, I wished each episode was longer, because not enough happened in each one...

It was based on Dartanian and the three musketeers.

The storyline of that show was quite good (yeah I know - no credit to them!) but it has to be said that the animation, vocals and sound-effects were just terrible. I seem to remember there being a mouse on the show that must have had a spring up his ass cos everytime he walked he went *boing* *boing* *boing*

Personally I preferred "Around the World in 80 Days" made by the same people but vastly superior in almost every way.

    If only it had Milady.

oh god no, around the world in 80 days was possibly the worst cartoon in my childhood. it sucked so much that i would go do my homework so i wouldnt have to watch it. as bad as dogtanion was, it was so much better than 80 days

    My god, I HATED Dogtanian!

So many repeats, so little day-time tv

But while the "Dogtanian" spin-off was the man in the iron mask. The "Around the World..." had an intriquite blend of all things good and pure that was Jules Verne.

After his epic journey Willy Fog decides to screw up the rest of his creators stories by not only heading to the center of the earth but also by Taking on the Nautilus and captain Nemo.

So not only was it better but it also dared to experiment with boundaries and blurred the edges between the original stories and the new "edited" versions.

Personally they ruined the books for me , but they were still in my opinion the best of the cartoon versions of the Jules Verne stories.

Rigadon's name was Passepartout and I was half way through it before I realized that annoying little Hamster type guy wasn't in it at all. I was disgusted But still significantly better than Dogtanian, although both were miles better than "Sandokan".

My God I hated that Cartoon!!

Oh yeah in a fight who would win, Milady of the Princess (from 80 days)?
(to make it fair we'll give the princess a knife)

    My money's still on Milady
