Now that the Hammers are down where do they go from here.Reportedly £30 million in debt and losing £10 in premiership revenue the likes of Cole, Kanoute and Defoe must be sold.
Will we see a rejuvination in North London next season or will this be the hammer blow?

i would like to reply to this thread, but it's hard to take seriously, with the "hammer" pun used.

But seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if joe cole and some of the younger english west ham starlets don't stay on at the club, maybe for another year or so. I can however see the likes of kanoute and co. leaving very quickly should the chance arise. If they can hold onto they're young english players i can't see why they can't get promoted next season again.

Then on the other hand i could be totally wrong and they could go the way of sheffiled wednesday.

I dont think West Ham can afford to even think about keeping Cole, Kanoute, Dafoe, James etc for next season. Their wages alone could put the club into serious financial difficulties.

West Ham have to sell their big wage earners ... its a simple as that imo.

I agrre with Ciano, but I do think they will manage to keep Carrick, Glenn Johnsen and possibly Defoe. I think Joe Cole, Kanoute, David James and Trevor Sinclair will all leave. Cole and James have to if they have England ambitions.

Aldo it looks like West Ham will have to sell there best players i think they can make a return next year, there a big london club with a rich tradition which should be able to attract players who can come in on loan or as freebies.

Well it looks like they have their work cut out for them if they want to keep Dafoe!
