I got green lights on my dlink dsl300G+ modem this morning. ok so far this sounds great. I went to http://192.168.0.1 and entered my dsl password and user name. It asked if I wanted to update this info to the flash on modem. I did this and I can't connect to anything except the http://192.168.0.1 now, (except on dial up)
    Anyone got any ideas?

I rang eircom tech support and was told that they don't support and was told that they don't support this modem and conntact the manufacter.

    What am I doing wrong?

prolly because they are two different methods of authorising passwords, Eircom must use CHAP. Is there anywhere the moderators can put info like this in a sticky mebbe?

Glad you are runing anyway....if I recall CHAP is more secure than PAP a UK Bank I did some work for used to use it when connecting clients who did very high value transactions online.

Useless info but there ya go ;)
