This smells illegal and im sure there is something about that in the charter.... Watch it! Monty is looking to fill the 6 month ban i think... im sure he passed the 5 month so 6 is next

The 6 month ban was just handed out to the unlucky winner Grimes. I think the 7 month ban is on the way.

I did have a msg centre number for free texting on vodafone but don't now. Bloody thing never worked for me

sounds fair enough, the only reason the bans are so long is because people keep starting smammy threads.

in my opinion,fair enuff banning them, but for 6 or whatever months, that is a long time!!
i think they would learn there lesson after a month.

Monthy's trying to stop the shíte being posted before it happens, not punish/ban and delete/lock posts after

Hence, the ever increasing length of bans. Who wants to run the risk of a seven month ban? It makes people think twice about what their posting. If muppets still post spam, we dont here from them for a LOOOOOOOOONG time.

besides i don't think its illegal, jumping to conclusions, your free to change your message centre number thats why theres an option to do it. You didn't sign any contract saying you wouldn't or couldn't. If theres an alternative why not change it. BLAH.

As regards and ethical issue of using a loop hole etc' well thats besides the point now isn't it.

thebomber, while you're on the web, why not sign up on the o2 website and get 500 free txt's a month.
AFAIK vodafone, o2 and im sure meteor too, all blocked there message centre numbers from being used after thay became so popular a while back. i doubt you'll find any nowadays.
