    Use either mplayer at
    www.mplayerhq.hu
    or xine at
    www.xinehq.de
After you install, download the plugins and create a folder called win32 in /usr/lib and extract the plugins to there.
because you are using redhat the updated rpms currently mplayer-0.90 and xine-beta11 should be a www.freshrpms.net.

Or if you want something that'll do it all nice and neatly check out crossover office and the crossover plugin. They cost about $50 but imho are worth the price, they take all the hassle out of things. Been using them for office and so on for the last year and 1/2 an they are pretty slick for what they do. They also do wineX which is nice for gaming under linux.
