Lag problems

has anyone had any probs on 56k dialup since last friday, im pinging way to high on any of the game servers i play on, in normally around the 140 to 190, I was just on a jolt UK EF server and it was a steady 400 to 600 Its really beginning to piss me off Im on netsmart 120 SHIN
