Can anyone with IBB tell me what their service is like? Is their service still crap on the 3 rock mast?

What kind of speeds are can you reach etc. Pings? and anything else that you think is relevent.

    Thanks Alot.

Moving this to the Broadband forum (as it'll probably get a better answer over there)

The 3-rock service would appear to have been sorted pretty much since last Sunday/Monday

pinging boards.ie this is what I got:
    Reply from 217.114.166.147: bytes=32 time=49ms TTL=57
    Reply from 217.114.166.147: bytes=32 time=119ms TTL=57
    Reply from 217.114.166.147: bytes=32 time=18ms TTL=57
    Reply from 217.114.166.147: bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=57

Downloads do vary, but I have gotten d/l speeds in the 30ms range. If I were to use a download manager I could push this higher. A friend is on the RTE mast and with a d/l manager he's pushing over 70ms (on the 1mb service)

I use the radox CS server and a couple of UK DoD servers like DA-UK and I'm getting low latency.

Off Radox I'm generally around 40/50ms. One night there late last week I was down to 28ms. DA-UK latency is a little less reliable, although this would appear to be a server issue since everyone gets it when it happens (eg. yesterday playing DOD 1.0 I was getting latency about 190ms/230ms - but so was everyone else.)

if you're talking about kb/s I really hope speeds are better than 30 or even 70 kbits/s. 56K modems will get you 50 kb/s. Maybe you mean 30 or 70 KBytes/s?

Rather than start a new thread I'm bumping this one.

Has anyone on the 3-rock mast noticed a massive improvement in quality over the last couple of days, pings are lower and stabler and i'm getting download speeds that are approaching normal. Got 70k constant their earlier today.
