    Short Question.

Is there any way of getting something so I can take calls while online with dialup?

If you have a mobile use call diversion on the landline but you get charged for the call to the mobile =|

ISDN will let you use the net and let you take calls.

If you've got a V92 modem and an ISP that supports (UTV and Esat are the only ones I think) it then you can setup things so that your net connection will be maintained while you are on the phone, the only problem is that the connection will time out after 3 minutes or so.

Moving to Nets/Comms as it's a techy question
