Not sure if this is the right thread or not but here goes. I'm going to see the phonics tomorrow at Dublin Castle and I'm just wondering if there's any parking nearby. Also is there a 24hr carpark around that I can use also that will be open tomorrow.

    Thanks

There is a 24 hr car park on Fleet St. There are a few loading bays around Temple Bar you could use as well as i dont think they are loading bays on Bank Holidays. If all else fails you could always park for free a little bit out of town (For example Just off Clanbrassil st) and walk in.

I just looked at a map and there's one behind the Statoil garage on Ushers Quay. Would that be open as it would be very handy for me to get to and from. And as far as I know it's a 24hr one as well

http://www.parkrite.ie/information.htm Theres one at Christchurch down from Burdocks fish and chip shop which is less then 5 mins walk away. http://www.leoburdock.com/ Theres a also some metered street parking on the roads around dublin castle. In general Dublin Castle is only 10-5mins away from most of the city center car parks. The Dame st, Temple bar, Dury lane and even the Stephens green center carks are all very close to Dublin Castle. The one behind the statoil on the quays is not too far away either. My preference would be the one near Burdocks or Fleet st though.

I'd stay away from the ushers quay one. That area is an awful kip to walk around at night.

Stick to temple bar (fleet st) or as somebody already said just down from burdocks.

    Chief.

and are they definitely open tomorrow? I dont fancy driving around Dublin all day looking for a car park. What is the best way to get to the Fleet Street one?

    Chief.

Since a lot of attacks seem to happen in the busier areas like grafton st, O'Connell st, and even temple bar, its a mute point where exactly IS a safe area in Dublin anymore...

They are usually open all the time, though not all of them are 24hr. I think the only way you can get to the Fleet St one is from Westmoreland St street. Though you might be able to go down the first lane past O'Connell bridge from the quays. They might be building on it at the moment though. So it could be closed.

From North :: Down D'Olier St round corner and north onto Westmoreland St then first left onto Fleet St.

From South :: Onto Westmoreland St then first left onto Fleet St.
