Who'll Win Divison One Play-Off?

The 4 teams in the play-offs are

    Notts Forrest
    Reading
    Sheffield Utd
    Wolves

Who of them is likely to win promotion and do they have a chance of surviving the drop when they go up?

For stupid sentimental reasons I'm voting Wolves but that said I think they've got a great chance, with lots of goals being scored at the moment. Sheffield Utd are, I think, the biggest threat.

we were unlucky last season and this season. But, I think Reading might sneak it. I've seen them a few times this season and they are able to grind out results when needed (apart from getting beaten by the Mighty Norwich!!!!!!!). Apart from that anyone except Wolves would suit me fine :D

i think the blades have a decent chances, they did fairly well in th FA cup this year (slight understatement imo ;) ) and if they go up i think they might just stay up.

Div one playoffs are like the lotto ,current form counts for nothing.
But that final is always fcuking class and puts most premier league games to shame.
Should make it 4 go down from prem and 1 has to play off against losers of play off final :D

I'm a Forest fan and this season has been farr more than I could ever have hoped.

That said, I think the blades will go up with Reading being second favourites.

I'm quite happy with that, the money forest have made this season will help bd for a promotion push next year. The key will be hold on to their young players and have a well gelled team for next season.

I'd be afraid they'd be slaughtered in the premiership tbh.

I'd love to see Reading win it, being a fan, but they'll be slaughtered if come up. They need another year or two in Div 1.

Sheff Utd. will probably make it up, and bore the sh**e out of us all. They'll keep the Pool company then...

I'd love to see Wolves get it, particularly because of one man... the one the only Denis Irwin!

I voted for Reading. I think they're the least likely to go up out of the 4. But the play-offs are always nuts, so they could sneak into the Premiership. And go straight back down with Aston Villa and Fulham. Ooh that's an early prediction! :)

Two late goals, whew! So should be Wolves - Sheffield Utd
    final. Maybe....

    Mike.

Wolves had the better of the chances but before they equalised, Reding looked the more dangerous going forward. More crisp and so. After the goal (and just before it) the Reading keeper kept them in the tie.

    Yeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssss! :D

Wolves finally beat the semi-final curse, could'nt watch the game but was anxiously dipping in to the soundtrack of Sky Sports 1. Reading seemed to be the more dominant side but Wolves kept it tight and then...G-O-A-L!

    Roll on Cardif.

The final will be between Sheffield Utd and Wolves.
I was keeping an eye on tonights match - what a corker!
Glad I was just an interested observer. Two own goals in extra time,
one a piece and the commentator going pure Alan Partridge -

"The Forest fire was well and truely lit, will it be extinguished?".
"Will the Blades of Utd chop down the Forest?" etc! :D

Cant wait for Monday May 26.

    Mike.

forrest..for thier few amazing young players if no other reason

whichever of them go up is going right back down ala West Brom tho! I( dont think any of those clubs are in a position to spend 10 million quid like Birmingham did last year, like you have to do to stay up..

I reckon Sheff Utd will win the final, but I'd love to see Wolves win it. They've been in and around the play-offs for as long as I can remember. It would be great to finally see them in the premiership.

    What a match last night!

I am gutted! I really thought we'd hold out.. Its the first time I've ever been sorry that there was no away goal rule!

Still the team showed their youth and inexperience, hopefully they can match or build on this achievement next season!

John Thompson and Andy Reid will be lads to keep an eye on!

I hope Wolves stuff Sheffield United in the final because Neil Warnock is an annoying twat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,693 ✭✭✭tHE vAGGABOND

I cant see either of them making the premiership teams shake in their shoes :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

I'm with TwoSheds on this one. Warnock is an annoying twat, Sheffield Utd are a dirty bunch of cheating scum, and I hope Wolves batter them off the park....with sticks.

I usually miss them too. But I did see the Sunderland V Charlton playoff final few years back. Holy feck that was some game!
Think there'll be loads of goals in this final aswell. Come on on Wolverines. :)

Sadly I will be at work (on the road and will not be within Five Live reception). Bugger. Still if I were watching they'd almost certainly loose! :D
