    Prior to being released from WWE, Jeff Hardy had been under suspicion for substance abuse. Many in WWE thought substance abuse was the answer to Hardy's constant late arrivals and lack of passion for the business, as well as famous disappearing acts. Some said they knew for a fact Jeff had a problem, but couldn't figure out what it was so they simply released him.
