DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control) is explained very briefly here in Satcure

Otherwise try Google? What exactly do you want to know?

No matter how mnuch you know about it the Digibox won't do it unless Sky send the SW. It could do it.

Basically it uses the same 22KHz tone used to select channels above 11.7GHz (Tone on).

It works by bursts. A steady off or on is not interpreted as a Diseq command, but as select LO 9.75 or LO10.6 (low or high part of band).

    There are about 4 varients:
    1) No high band. A steady tone selects an alternate LNB. Not really diseqc

    2) Simple: LNB-1 or LNB-2, steady tone works Hi/lo nband on either LNB. Used by some monoblock LNBs for pickup of Astra and Hotbird which is what Eutelsat invented it for.

    3) 4-Way switch or 4 positions. Labelled LNB 1, Option A or B and LNB2 Option A or B, normally used with a remote 4way LNB switch at the dish

    4) Full positioner. A motor or an actuator goes to a pre determined position. I think there is a limit of 128 positions. There may be two varients of this mode, one with more positions than the other.

Unless you are designing a Diseq switch or doing SW for a PC card there is not a lot more to know. If designing a Diseq switch or PC SW you need to know the number and length of the tone bursts before it changes back to a steady off or on for LNB control.

Since it was designed by Eutelsat I imagine their website ought to have a designers spec.
