Interested in playing basketball off-season

For anyone interested in playing basketball during the summer months the DIT basketball club hire out an indoor gym every Wednesday night for scrimmage sessions.

The scrimmage session is open to anyone (boys or girls) interested in partcipating in a good game of basketball.

We would especially love to see people who would like to play for one of the four basketball teams in DIT.

Both the lads and the girls teams will be playing in the second division of the Dublin League next year. People eligible to play will be registered students - full-time or part-time, lecturers, people who work in DIT or former students of DIT.

To be eligible for the lads of girls college teams you must be a registered student i.e. hold a valid DIT student card. Both the college teams participate in the ICBA league.

Training for the four DIT teams will begin at the start of the college year in September.

The scrimmage sessions are on every Wednesday night until then. They are held in Belvedere College (one minute walk from Parnell Sq) at 7 o'clock. Expect a fairly high standard of bball.
