    Technically, it's the same equipment.. They'd either have the wireless router connected to a LAN and into an internet router directly or just a simple DSL connection off a PC. A wireless router will typically support 253 users.

    My own wireless signal (From a Netgear DG824M) can be recieved by my neighbours! Of course, it would be very bold (ahem, cough, cough) to share it with them!
